Introduction

I've been programming ever since I got my first computer (a C64) back in the mid-80's. Back then it was BASIC followed by a bit of Assembly, the latter especially on my Amiga.

At Uni we started on Pascal, moved onto Modula-2, and then I learned C and never looked back! These days I do professional development work mostly in C/C++.

Following are some short tutorials/introductions to topics which wasted a fair bit of my time - mostly due to outdated tutorials and information available online. The best bet usually is to download current open-source projects and analyse how they work.
